While starting running back James Cook deals with a toe injury, the Buffalo Bills made a move to add depth to their backfield for Monday night's game against the New York Jets.
Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Bills elevated Frank Gore Jr. from the practice squad for what will be his first career NFL game.
ESPN's Alaina Getzenberg noted that Buffalo listed Cook as questionable for Monday night's game, so Gore's elevation from the practice squad "doesn't seem to be a positive development for his injury status." The Bills later ruled him out for the game, marking the first time he will be sidelined in his three-year career.
