It’s very easy to overreact to Week 1 victories and losses, but by far the ugliest season-opening performance was from the Indianapolis Colts. Free-agent additions Todd Herremans (OG) and Trent Cole (OLB) were supposed to shore up a shaky offensive line and inept pass rush, respectively. WR Andre Johnson was supposed to add the missing vertical threat for QB Andrew Luck and RB Frank Gore was supposed to give OC Pep Hamilton the aggressive ground attack he earnestly sought.
