Former Baltimore Ravens safety Matt Elam has had some positive news off the field.
A week after charges of grand theft and battery in Palm Beach County were dropped, drug charges in a separate incident in Miami-Dade County were dropped, according to ESPN.com.
He had been charged with possession and intent to sell or deliver cannabis as well as possession of a controlled substance.
The Ravens indicated the now-unrestricted free agent would not return to the team following the February incident.
"We are aware of the arrest of Matt Elam," the team said in a statement, per Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun.
