Former first-round pick Sam Baker’s NFL prospects didn’t look good when he missed 2014 with a season-ending torn patella tendon, leading to his release from the Falcons.
But it appears it was career-ending as well.
Sam’s father and Pro Football Hall of Fame president David Baker told Gil Brandt and Alex Marvez on SiriusXM NFL Radio that his son “probably just concluded his career” because of the host of injuries that plagued him throughout his career.
He only played 16 games twice, and tore the patella tendons in both knees during his seven-year stint with the Falcons, which ended in June.
