NEW YORK (AP) — Cleveland Browns Hall of Fame running back Jim Brown and his lone championship ring may soon be reunited after nearly half a century apart.
Brown is in Manhattan federal court Tuesday to try to settle a lawsuit he brought against a memorabilia dealer. Brown says someone stole the ring from his Cleveland home in the late 1960s but he doesn't know who.
The 79-year-old Brown, walking with a cane, talked about the ring as he waited to meet with a magistrate judge.
He says it means more than any of his trophies and awards because it represents the teamwork it took to win the league championship in 1964.
