Teddy Bridgewater is special.
It wasn't evident to NFL teams during the 2014 NFL draft and such is the stubbornness of the league's decision makers that they will likely still deny it today, but the former Louisville prospect proved it true during his rookie season.
Bridgewater's statistical output didn't make him stand out. He played in 13 games, finishing the year with 2,919 yards, 14 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. The rookie only played in 13 games because he couldn't beat out veteran Matt Cassel during the training camp and preseason. Cassel was injured in Week 3, forcing Bridgewater into a starting role -- a role which he never relinquished, in part because his performances were immediately impressive.
