NFL Offseason - The Atlanta Falcons are set to sign former Cincinnati Bengals safety Jessie Bates III to a four-year, $64.02 million contract, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Bates will receive $23 million in the first year of his contract and $36 million over his first two seasons. The deal makes Bates the fourth highest-paid safety in the league.
In 2022, Bates allowed just nine completions and 6.2 yards per target on 40.9% completion, all of which were career bests. His seven pass breakups and four interceptions mean Bates broke up more passes than he allowed this season.
