It’s been more than a month since guard Evan Mathis was released by the Eagles and he hasn’t landed another job for the 2015 season yet, something that he says isn’t a cause for concern.
Mathis’s agent Drew Rosenhaus said shortly after his release that at least six teams had reached out to Mathis, but that they would be methodical and avoid rushing into a deal with anyone. Nothing seems to have changed regarding that approach.
During a Wednesday appearance on CBS Sports Radio, Mathis said there was “no rush at all” to sign with a team and that he expects pursuit of him to “ramp up” in the coming days.
