In light of recent events, 2015 ESPYs host Joel McHale couldn't help but crack a joke on Wednesday at the expense of New York Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul.
McHale referenced Pierre-Paul's fireworks injury, which resulted in one of the defensive lineman's fingers being amputated, per ESPN.com's Adam Schefter, in his opening monologue. Rather than settle at just making jokes, the comedian took things up a notch by including a prop in the bit.
