While’s it’s certainly worse than leaving a game healthy, the news wasn’t that back for Jets linebacker Erin Henderson.
According to Dom Cosentino of NJ.com, Henderson suffered a grade-two sprain of his MCL, and is expected to miss about a week of practice.
He suffered the injury last night against the Lions, and it looked like it might have been worse at the time. But if the time frame is accurate, he could be back on the field for the third preseason game against the Giants on Aug. 29.
Henderson’s competing for a roster spot with the Jets after his career was derailed by a series of alcohol-related problems during his time with the Vikings.
