A reportedly agitated Eli Manning vehemently denied reports that he and his agent are seeking a contract extension that would make him the highest-paid quarterback in the NFL. The New York Giants quarterback, who is entering the final year of his contract, deemed the reports “all wrong.”
“It’s never been said, it’s never come out of my mouth, my agent never said that, so I don’t know where the reports are coming from,” Manning said before Wednesday’s practice, via the New York Daily News.
Manning, who is entering the final year of his contract, said he hadn’t even heard about reports until he listened to a voice mail from his father, Archie Manning, who was similarly upset over the reports.
