Early signs positive for Leonard Floyd after being carted off with neck injury

Bears linebacker Leonard Floyd has movement in his extremities and has showed encouraging signs after being carted off the field with a neck injury in Sunday’s game.

Floyd was injured in the fourth quarter while attempting to tackle Giants running back Rashad Jennings. Floyd’s head collided with the torso of teammate Akiem Hicks and his neck bent awkwardly.

Floyd crumpled to the ground and a stretcher was brought out to take him off the field. He was taken to a hospital for further tests.

Fox says Leonard Floyd has been taken to a local hospital to undergo testing but that his movement looked good and is encouraging.
