Taylor Hendricks, a Philadelphia Eagles fan, was arrested after being ejected from Lincoln Financial Field during Saturday's playoff game against the Atlanta Falcons.
Per Tom Schad of USA Today, Hendricks punched a police horse and officer at the stadium following his ejection.
Per Philadelphia County Municipal Court records, Hendricks was formally charged with aggravated assault, illegally taunting a police animal, simple assault and defiant trespassing.
Police spokesman Troy Brown wrote in a statement provided to Schad that Hendricks was "punching the horse in the face, neck and shoulder area," and the officer on the horse was being struck in the legs before another officer placed Hendricks in custody.
