One of Chip Kelly’s assistants in Philadelphia says that the Eagles coach is staying with the team.
“Chip isn’t going anywhere,” defensive coordinator Billy Davis said on Thursday, via NJ.com’s Eliot Shorr-Parks. “Nope. I promise you that.”
Davis also affirmed that Kelly is committed to the team.
“Absolutely,” Davis said. “Not kind of committed. All-in committed. I know it. He is a fighter. He don’t run.
“You see the way he acts day-by-day,” Davis said. “No change in Chip.”
Davis and Kelly might not have a choice in the matter. Kelly has allegedly lost the team and it seems unlikely he’ll be around next season, even if he wants to be.
