Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Dwayne Haskins died Saturday after being struck by a truck in South Florida. He was 24.
Cedric Saunders, Haskins' agent, confirmed the news to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The Florida Highway Patrol later released details from its initial investigation:
Nicki JhabvalaDwayne Haskins, the Florida Highway Patrol determined, was attempting to cross the westbound lands of I-595 on foot when there was oncoming traffic, and was struck by a dump truck. He was pronounced dead on the scene. A traffic homicide investigation remains open.

The New Jersey native played college football at Ohio State before being selected by the Washington Commanders in the first round of the 2019 NFL draft.
