Drew Brees Injury: Updates on Saints Star's Foot and Recovery

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees dealt with a torn plantar fascia for the final two games of the season but will not need surgery. He's expected to need four-to-six weeks of rest before resuming activities.

Mike Triplett of ESPN reported, via colleague Ed Werder, that Brees had his foot evaluated by Dr. Robert Anderson. Anderson ruled out surgery but did recommend four-to-six weeks of rest, which would jeopardize Brees' ability to play in the Pro Bowl if he was selected as an alternate.
