New England Patriots rookie quarterback Drake Maye was officially ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's matchup against the New York Jets after suffering a concussion, head coach Jerod Mayo said on the CBS broadcast at halftime.

Maye suffered the injury during the second quarter, as he was struck in the head by an opposing team's helmet as he went down for a slide.

He was replaced by Jacoby Brissett.

At the time of the injury, Maye was 3-for-6 through the air for 23 yards, adding three rushes for 46 yards and a touchdown.
