The Miami Dolphins are trading for Chicago Bears wide receiver Chase Claypool and placing left tackle Terron Armstead on injured reserve.
The Dolphins and Bears announced the trade Friday, saying Miami is giving Chicago a 2025 sixth-round draft pick in exchange for Claypool and a 2025 seventh-rounder. The trade is pending a physical.
Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel told reporters Friday that Armstead, who injured a knee Sunday against the Buffalo Bills, would go on IR but that the team expected him to return this season.
The trade for Claypool comes after he was a healthy scratch for the second time in five days, missing the Bears' 40-20 win over the Washington Commanders on Thursday.
