There’s not always a connection between pre-draft visits and actual draft plans as teams may be meeting with prospects to gauge character questions, prepare themselves for unexpected twists on draft day or just to pick the brains of players they may face in the coming years.
Often, though, there’s correlation between the kinds of players that teams are visiting with and things they plan to do once the draft is underway. In the case of the Dolphins, their visits with a slew of cornerbacks comes after coach Joe Philbin said it was time for third-year corners Jamar Taylor and Will Davis to step up.
