Cancer has touched the lives of most Americans, in one way or another. The Miami Dolphins have raised more than $11.5 million for cancer research over the last five years via the Dolphins Cycling Challenge.
This year, the name of the program has changed to the Dolphins Cancer Challenge, which reflects the goals and additional events associated with the broader effort to generate funds and awareness. The process begins with two Fall Family Fests in November 2015, and it culminates with a bike ride and run/walk event on February 20, 2016
“The Miami Dolphins are committed to fighting cancer,” Dolphins president and CEO Tom Garfinkel said in a statement issued Friday.
