NFL Offseason - The Miami Dolphins have acquired Los Angeles Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey via trade, as first reported by NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Rams will receive the No. 77 overall pick from the 2023 Draft and tight end Hunter Long in exchange for Ramsey. The teal will process at the start of the new league year on Wednesday.
The Dolphins finished the 2022 season 25th in defensive passing DVOA, down from ninth the year prior. Injuries at cornerback partly fueled that regression. Byron Jones spent the entire season on the PUP list after undergoing offseason surgery, while Trill Williams and Nik Needham both suffered season-ending injuries during the year.
