A few days after Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones referred to Dez Bryant as “Superman” due to his evidently otherworldly recuperative powers, head coach Jason Garrett provided a more concrete update based in the real world concerning the wide receiver’s progress in recovering from surgery.
Garrett indicated Bryant, a little more than three weeks after he underwent a procedure to repair a fractured fifth metatarsal that included a bone graft and a screw being inserted into his right foot, has started doing some light running on a treadmill. The Cowboys coach did indicate, though, that Bryant has not yet returned to the practice field.
