Despite losing a key piece to one of the league’s best offenses, Packers coach Mike McCarthy isn’t backing off on the expectations for his team.
After wide receiver Jordy Nelson suffered a torn ACL which will knock him out for the season, McCarthy told his players that they had to pick up the slack.
“It’s a tough blow to our football team but as we spoke in the team meeting, nothing’s changed,” McCarthy said, via Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com. “Our goal hasn’t changed. When things like this happen, a good system with a good football team, adjustments are made.
