NFL Offseason - The New Orleans Saints and Derek Carr are closing in on a four-year contract, according to a report from NFL Network's Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport.
Carr was released by the Las Vegas Raiders on February 14 after Carr declined to waive his no-trade clause. Prior to being cut, the only team Carr had formally y spoken to about a potential deal was the New Orleans Saints.
After being cut, Carr was closely linked to the New York Jets and Carolina Panthers in addition to the Saints, meeting with all three teams at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis.
