NFL Super Bowl - Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr informed the Raiders that he will refuse any trade, ruling out a move to the New Orleans Saints, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. As a result, the Raiders will release Carr before Tuesday, February 14th.
NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported that the Saints and Raiders had the initial framework for a Carr trade, but his $40.4 million guaranteed contract--which becomes fully guaranteed on February 14--became an issue. Carr has a no-trade clause in his contract, giving him the ability to veto any trade.
