Denver Broncos beat Patriots, head to Super Bowl 50

Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos are heading to the Super Bowl.

Behind another stellar defensive performance, the Broncos defeated the defending Super Bowl champion New England Patriots, 20-18, in Sunday's AFC Championship Game.

It marks the Broncos' second Super Bowl appearance in three years and Manning's fourth trip to the championship game.

The Broncos managed to hold on despite a Tom Brady touchdown pass to Rob Gronkowski with 12 seconds left. The Broncos intercepted Brady's pass on the two-point conversion attempt to all but seal the win.
