After being acquired by the New York Jets from the Las Vegas Raiders earlier this week, star receiver Davante Adams is eyeing a long-term partnership with his new team.
"I hope so. That's the plan," Adams told reporters on Wednesday when asked if he'd like a multi-year relationship with the Jets. "I never go somewhere in hopes of having to find a new home."
Adams is due to make $35.6 million in both the 2025 and 2026 seasons, but none of that money is guaranteed. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that the Jets restructured his contract to reduce his cap hit for the remainder of the 2024 campaign, but added, "They will also likely have to adjust 2025 and 2026 eventually.
