Whether it is a player rehabbing an injury for last year or something that happened during a practice session, there’s a lot of injury talk during the OTA phase of offseason work.
Much of it winds up flowing together until we start paying a bit more attention during training camp, but every now and then something unusual catches the eye. The reason Lions cornerback Darius Slay is out of practice this week qualifies on that front.
Slay was at Lions practice on Thursday, but didn’t do much because both of his hands were wrapped. Coach Jim Caldwell gave an update on Slay’s condition after the session that we haven’t heard before.
