The New York Giants cut third-year defensive end Damontre Moore for a violation of team rules Friday, according to ESPN's Dan Graziano. Fox Sports' Mike Garafolo confirmed the news.
“We made the move today in the interest of both parties,” Giants general manager Jerry Reese said, according to Michael Eisen of the team's official website.
A former third-round pick out of Texas A&M, Moore earned a reputation as being a relentless pass-rusher throughout the 2015 season. Earlier in the year, he was flagged for roughing the passer in three consecutive games.
