Dak Prescott covers 34.4 yards on five-yard touchdown run

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott didn't use the shortest route to the end zone in the fourth quarter Thursday, but he still found his ultimate destination.

Prescott eluded one tackle by scrambling to his left, then broke back to his right and somersaulted into the end zone for a five-yard score against the Washington Redskins.

But according to NFL Next Gen Stats, Prescott actually covered 34.4 yards on the run. It was the second-most yards on any rushing touchdown in Prescott's career, according to NFL Next Gen Stats. The most came on Thanksgiving in 2016 against the Redskins, when he ran 37.
