The Dallas Cowboys are going to stash away Tony Romo for a better day.
NFL Media's Albert Breer reported Tuesday that Romo will be placed on the injured reserve/designated to return list, according to a team source. The move ensures Romo will miss at least the next eight weeks. He is eligible to return to action for the Cowboys' Week 11 matchup against the Miami Dolphins.
Todd Archer of ESPNDallas.com had the first report.
Romo suffered a fractured collarbone in the second half of the Cowboys' 20-10 win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
