Dallas Cowboys star quarterback Dak Prescott is the richest man in the NFL after signing a four-year, $240 million contract extension this past weekend, and the details of his new deal were revealed on Wednesday.

According to ESPN's Dan Graziano, "the final hurdle" in negotiations between Prescott and the Cowboys "was guaranteed money." The 31-year-old's patience paid off, as he is now the first player in NFL history to have an average salary of $60 million and Graziano determined that $231 million, or 96 percent of the contract's total value, is fully guaranteed.

Prescott received an $80 million signing bonus and $129 million fully guaranteed at signing, which includes his $1.
