Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones says that it's not "crazy at all" to consider an extension for head coach Mike McCarthy.
"I don't think that's crazy at all. This is a Super Bowl-winning coach," Jones said when asked about the potential extension Tuesday on 105.3 The Fan, per The Athletic's Jon Machota. "Mike McCarthy has been there and done that. He has great ideas. We got a lot of football left."
McCarthy is in the final season of the five-year contract he signed with the franchise in 2020. With Dak Prescott sidelined for the rest of the 2024 season, the 4-7 Cowboys are on track for their worst record under his tenure so far.
