The Dallas Cowboys are without star quarterback Dak Prescott for the remainder of the season after he suffered a hamstring injury in Week 9. They made it official, placing him on season-ending injured reserve Monday, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Prescott, who signed a four-year, $240 million contract extension before the start of the season, didn't have the year he hoped for, even before the season-ending injury.
Through eight games, he had 1,978 passing yards, 11 touchdowns and eight interceptions amid Dallas' 3-5 start to the season. It was a bit of a drop-off compared to last year when he threw for 4,516 passing yards, 36 touchdowns and nine interceptions.
