Cowboys' Aldon Smith Reportedly Reinstated by NFL; Hasn't Played Since 2015

After sitting out four seasons due to a suspension, Oakland Raiders linebacker Aldon Smith has reportedly been reinstated by the NFL.

Per ESPN's Ed Werder, Smith will be eligible to take part in team activities after being reinstated by commissioner Roger Goodell.

The move comes after Jay Glazer of Fox Sports reported on April 1 the Dallas Cowboys were signing Smith to a one-year deal worth $4 million.

Smith last played in a game on Nov. 15, 2015, two days before the NFL handed down a one-year suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy.
