Having failed to work out a long-term deal with Dak Prescott last offseason, the Dallas Cowboys weren't going to let that happen again.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the two sides agreed to a four-year, $160 million contract, with a record-setting $126 million in guarantees.
Adam SchefterThe deal can be worth up to $164 million, per source. The deal includes $66 million to sign and $75 million in year one, the most in NFL history. https://t.co/bt7uBY2v7w
While Schefter referenced Prescott's massive earnings in the first year, it seems fair to assume the two-time Pro Bowler won't be counting for $75 million against the salary cap in 2021.
