Jason Pierre-Paul will return to the practice field Wednesday and Thursday for the New York Giants in an effort to get him on the field Sunday versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
"JPP is in outstanding physical condition so we feel good about accelerating him along," coach Tom Coughlin, per the team's official Twitter account.
Coughlin said the pass rusher will see "a good amount of reps" with the defense and scout teams.
It was a little more than a week ago that Pierre-Paul signed his one-year, incentive-laden contract to return to the Giants after having his index finger amputated following a July 4th fireworks mishap.
