On Tuesday, a federal judge in Missouri threw out the claims brought against the players’ union in class actions led by former players Christian Ballard and Neil Smith (pictured). The cases included allegations of fraud, civil conspiracy, and negligence arising from the failure of the NFLPA to properly warn players of the risks of head trauma.
