The Browns signed kicker Cody Parkey after kicker Patrick Murray suffered a knee injury on Friday. Murray has been placed on injured reserve, the team announced Saturday.
Cleveland.com reports it's an injured left knee, the second one in which Murray tore his ACL last season.
Parkey, a third-year player out of Auburn, lost out on the Eagles' place kicking job to Caleb Sturgis right before the start of the regular season. In 2015, Parkey was placed on injured reserve for a groin injury, but the season prior, the 24-year-old made the Pro Bowl by securing the Eagles' single-season scoring record with 150 points.
