New Browns LB Mychal Kendricks had been the subject of trade rumors seemingly for two seasons now. This, however, is not a rumor: Kendricks was just charged by federal authorities with insider trading.
According to Kendricks' statement admitting guilt, via NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, he participated in insider trading four years ago, when he says a former friend with a Harvard business degree and Goldman & Sachs job gave him a "false sense of confidence.
"To this point, I had worked my tail off and since I was 5 years old to become a football player. While I didn't fully understand all the details of illegal trades, I knew it was wrong, and I wholeheartedly regret my actions.
