Former Penn State quarterback Christian Hackenberg struggled after a strong freshman season, but he doesn't pin any of the blame for his underwhelming career on Nittany Lions coach James Franklin.
Hackenberg spoke about Franklin in an interview Wednesday on The Dan Patrick Show, in which he denied a prior report that suggested he blamed Franklin for his struggles, per CBSSports.com's Will Brinson:
I basically went into every interview and said here's what we did. And the overruling theme was that it was just different. And then I was very focused on making sure they knew they I was very focused and in-tune with making this step to this next level.
