New Jersey Governor and Republican presidential candidate Chris Christie has long been a vocal supporter of the Dallas Cowboys, but there's one theoretical roster move he refuses to back.
In an appearance on The Hugh Hewitt Show, Christie told the host in no uncertain terms that he'll do whatever it takes to prevent the Cowboys from signing embattled Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel.
"I will throw my body in front of the Johnny Manziel train if it heads towards Dallas," Christie said (h/t the Dallas Morning News).
Manziel is currently under contract with the Browns through the 2017 season, per Spotrac, so any sort of move to Dallas would need to come via trade or the quarterback's release from Cleveland.
