Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was the most popular pick to win the 2024 NFL MVP Award in a poll of coaches and executives conducted by The Athletic this week.
According to Jeff Howe of The Athletic, the majority of those anonymously polled chose Mahomes, with one general manager saying: "It's hard not to say Mahomes. He's Michael Jordan."
Another GM added: "Until someone proves otherwise, it's Mahomes. Until somebody knocks off the king, he stands."
Mahomes finished only seventh in the NFL MVP voting last season, but he is a two-time NFL MVP and led the Chiefs to their second consecutive Super Bowl win last season, while taking Super Bowl MVP honors.
