The Kansas City Chiefs do not have any regrets about the 2022 trade for wide receiver Kadarius Toney.
The Chiefs released Toney prior to the 2024 NFL season, ending a tenure that consisted of some lackluster play from the 2021 first-round pick who the team traded a third-and-sixth-round pick for during the 2022 season.
While it was not a long-term solution for the Chiefs, general manager Brett Veach said that the trade was worth it due to Toney's contributions on the franchise's back-to-back Super Bowl titles.
"I don't think we're sitting here going for a third straight Super Bowl [championship] had we not made that trade,'' Veach said, per Adam Teicher of ESPN.
