Chiefs' Andy Reid 'Alright' With Patrick Mahomes' Viral Behind-the-Back Pass to Kelce

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid seemed to be the only person on earth who wasn't over the moon about Patrick Mahomes' behind-the-back pass to Travis Kelce in Saturday's preseason game against the Detroit Lions—but he didn't take issue with it.

Speaking to reporters on Monday, Reid said he was "alright" with the pass as long as it's a completion.

"I heard he blamed (Travis) Kelce, but that's alright," Reid said. "He does it in practice every day, and I'm alright as long as it's a completion."

The play occurred in the first quarter when Mahomes kept the ball like he was going to run an option then flipped it behind his back for a gain of eight yards to pick up a first down on third-and-3.
