Bears top pick Roquan Smith exited Tuesday's practice early with what head coach Matt Nagy referred to as some tightness in his left hamstring, but the club is hopeful he'll return Wednesday.
“It’s up to coach Nagy,” Smith said when asked before Tuesday's practice about playing Saturday against the Chiefs. “If he feels like I’m ready, then I’ll be out there. I’m just doing what I can, preparing like I would play.”
Nagy called Smith's exit "more precautionary than anything," and said he more than likely wouldn't continued practicing if it were the regular season.
