Chicago Bears new coach Matt Nagy tabs Brad Childress as offensive consultant, per report

Well, Childress isn’t retiring, but he is coming home.

According to ESPN, which had the story first, Childress will reunite with new Bears head coach Matt Nagy as an offensive consultant. Childress is a native of the Chicago area. He is from far-west suburban Aurora, where he graduated from Marmion Academy, and then Eastern Illinois University.

Childress and Nagy worked together for the previous five years in Kansas City on head coach Andy Reid’s staff and were co-offensive coordinators in 2016 before Nagy assumed that role alone in 2017 with Childress serving as assistant head coach.

When Nagy was introduced to the media as John Fox’s successor on Jan.
