The Chargers are in the process of sorting out where they’ll be playing their home games in the future, but they’ll honor one of the franchise’s best players before leaving Qualcomm Stadium for another San Diego stadium or moving up the coast to Los Angeles.
The team announced Wednesday that LaDainian Tomlinson’s No. 21 will be retired during the team’s November 22 Sunday night game against the Chiefs. Tomlinson will also be inducted into the team’s Hall of Fame.
“This is a special, special opportunity for the Chargers family and all Chargers fans,” Chargers chairman Dean Spanos said in a statement.
