Chancellor would lose $267,647 a week for an in-season holdout

If Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor is serious about his threat to continue holding out into the regular season, he’s thinking about costing himself a serious amount of money.

At Chancellor’s salary of $4,550,000, he would lose $267,647 for each week of the regular season that he misses.

Of course, Chancellor is already costing himself about that much for each week he misses camp: The Seahawks are fining Chancellor $30,000 a day for each day that he’s absent, and the team can force him to pay back $250,000 of his signing bonus. That’s close to $1 million he’s lost already.
