Cardinals’ Michael Floyd out 3-5 weeks with hand injury

Cardinals receiver Michael Floyd may miss most or all of the preseason after suffering a hand injury in practice.

Floyd suffered a left hand injury and may miss three to five weeks, Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic reports.

That’s not great news, but it could have been worse: Initial reports had Floyd breaking three fingers and missing 10-12 weeks. That would have been a huge problem for a Cardinals offense that is expecting Floyd to be its leading receiver.

If Floyd is out five weeks, he’d miss the entire preseason but be back for the start of the regular season.
